OUR MISSION

The TG strives to be service-orientated body that practically offers quality legal service and contributes to the development of confident and competent legal practitioners and career growth of its members within the legal profession. The fundamental objectives and functions that the TG strives to attain stem from the importance of the legal profession within the society. In pursuit of these goals, our mission shall be to:

• serve as a dedicated and committed group of advocates for excellence, fairness and justice in the performance of our sworn duties and responsibilities.
• grow and sustain an effective professional group of advocates   through excellent legal representation and services.
• ensure sound and good organisational governance through an appropriately skilled and dedicated members, Management Committee (“MANCO”) and support staff.
• promote the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and discipline.
• enhance diversity and collaboration; and promote equal participation of members in the group.
• promote peer support, guidance and mentorship services of our members and foster caring and conducive environment for members, staff and clients.
• provide assistance to the public through community service and working with stakeholders to provide civic education projects.
• provide pro bono legal service to the indigent members of our communities and ultimately fulfil the promise of justice for all.
• advance respect for rule of law, protection of human rights and fundamental liberties recognised by the Constitution of the Republic and international law.
• protect the rights of the clients and promote the cause of justice uninfluenced by fear or favour.
• Represent our Group and legal profession nationally and internationally.
