In Memoriam – Advocate Ronald “Ronnie” Tshikororo

Posthumously Awarded Lifetime Membership by Thabure Group of Advocates

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our esteemed colleague, Advocate Tshikororo, who passed on Friday, 28 March 2025. In recognition of his outstanding service to the legal profession, unwavering dedication to justice, and the exemplary values he embodied, the Thabure Group of Advocates  hereby confers upon him Lifetime Membership, posthumously.

Adv Tshikororo was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2003. His distinguished legal career spanned both public service and private practice. He served with commitment and honour in numerous legal roles, including his early tenure with the Office of the Public Protector and the Independent Complaints Directorate, followed by senior positions across several departments within the Limpopo Provincial Government.

From 2006 to 2015, he provided trusted legal counsel to MECs on matters ranging from environmental appeals to procurement litigation, liquor and gambling regulation, and education law. He joined the Polokwane Society of Advocates in 2017, after completing his pupillage in 2016. His practice focused on civil, commercial, environmental, medical negligence, and education matters.

Adv Tshikororo will be remembered not only for his sharp intellect and commitment to ethical practice, but also for his humility, collegiality, and unwavering sense of justice. He served the public and the legal profession with honour.

We mourn his passing and express our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. His name will remain permanently inscribed in the records of the Thabure Group of Advocates  as a Lifetime Member.
